What are YOU passionate about?
As a child, I was passionate about foreign travel. At least, my grampa's National Geographic magazines sure convinced me I would be. You know, exotic animals, fascinating people, hauntingly beautiful places...
Then, after a teen good-will ambassador trip to Costa Rica for an actual peek into some National Geo scenes...lush green, mist-enshrouded hills, incredible waterfalls... ooooh...I was hooked. Foreign travel definitely was my Passion!
I went to a lot of places that I Passionately wanted to see. Some I visited briefly, some for years. Mexico, the Marianas Islands, the Kalinga Jungle in the Philippines, Japan, Maui (oops, that wasn't foreign! Exotic and Fun, though!), Hong Kong, etc.
Often I felt that I'd somehow slipped into a National Geographic magazine.
When I reached MahaSarakham, a small town in NE Thailand...I suddenly felt 'traveled' enough. Perfectly content to raise our five children there as we served a wide range of people, from really bad-off villagers to the well-off of the town. And all against a gloriously tropical, deliciously foreign backdrop. (I invite you to see our pictures!)
Ok, fast-forward 13 yrs. Kids heading to study in North America. Time to follow my Passion by following them. We flew off those National Geo pages and resumed life in the good ole' USA Today.
It took a while but I've pretty well adjusted to just grabbing the laundry to toss into the wash, without a cautious check for snakes or monster spiders...to not expecting a young elephant to drop by for one of her evening snacks...to having hot running water...to having sit-down toilets (Don't ask! Just see our pics)...to not having to keep a sharp eye peeled for water buffalo herds crossing the road at dusk...and...to being back in the Land of Opportunity.
I don't know about you, but as a kid I'd picked up on the tremendous power of the networking business model. The old "working 40 hours a week for 40 years to then retire and live on 40% of what you'd been making" never did make sense to me. (If you aren't sure what I mean, check out this video.)
Anyway, I now looked for a business that would allow me to do what I love, a business that would allow us to continue homeschooling our daughter, last in the "nest", a business that would allow us to make serious contributions to our community.
Ever try a business that just didn't work out for you? Me, too! Several, in fact.
But I DID find what I was looking for. Well, actually, it found me. And it was one of my Passions!!! I'd had NO idea just how crazy-big money was in it.
It got my 11 year-old jumping up and down. I watched in amazement as she immediately, (and I mean, immediately!) grabbed some of the gourmet soy/veg candles when they arrived and rushed out the door. And within minutes, was back with cash! (enter her weekly drawing for a free candle >>>>>)
Since she is one of my biggest Passions, it made perfect sense to work with her, and have fun bringing in cash together.
Ever been in a so-called "home" business that keeps you out to meetings, etc. so much that your family complains? I'm thrilled to have a business that allows me to follow my Passion, as I actually work from home! (click here to check it out)
My daughter and I have teamed up with savvy partners that share our values and that want the same thing:
To work from home, following our Passions,
as we create our visions for our families,
and to walk alongside others who want the same.
Why partner with me?
Because I am in this business for the long haul. (It's not a get rich quick scheme and requires dedication and persistence.)
Because I value partnership. And I will be here for you.
If you are serious about achieving success, let's work together to make it happen!
