So...Why not "soy-only"?

Charlie Umphred, VP of Marketing, in the picture above, with Tirzah and me, explains:

"The original formula back in early 2000 was a soy candle (this was BEFORE we were MLM). Carmen kept on working with alternative waxes since we found that soy limited the amount of perfume we could put in some of the candles which adversely affected our potential as a competitor with other powerhouse candles.

Our purpose was NOT to just be an ordinary clean burning candle BUT the most powerful and best smelling candle that also happens to burn clean!

Many people are under the impression that the clean burn is the most important aspect of the sale..but all studies point to performance being the number one factor for over 70% of buyers....so in our opinion soy was not going to ever be a contender to that market!

As we experimented with mixtures of alternative waxes, more companies came into that end of the business and we were given many more alternatives to pick from...
our goal is to find the natural mixtures that allow us to create the best performing candle that also burns clean...
we are not concerned with the actual ingredient as much as we are concerned that it be natural and allow us to create the best performing candle in the market...
the current formula could be replaced tomorrow IF we found a natural material that burned clean and
allowed us to make a better candle"
